Overview
Up to now, this chapter has focused on establishing the foundations of metadata, defining the
basic building blocks of metadata management, and the principles of reuse at the enterprise
level. This section will take those guiding principles and apply them to the Web application
environment in hopes to not only expand the body of knowledge, but to lay the foundation
of success for any implementation desiring to manage the Web application environment as
a portfolio of assets.
