project plans, and detailed descriptions of products and services. In addition to the brand
site, the support organization should begin to integrate more collaboration and interactive
technology. The bottom line is that success in the world of metadata will be defined by
the customer, not by the technology. The repository environment is a complex collection
of communications that are one-way, collaborative, and interactive by nature. Delivery of
enterprise metadata must be effective, efficient, and dependable if it is to have value in the
customer??™s eyes. The customer must be able to depend on the consistency of the technology,
processes, and the relationship. Building the entire repository environment will ensure that
you can deliver that value each and every time.
Integration.of.the.Repository.and.Registry
For each of the elements in the model described in the prior section, a repository could be
constructed, and in many cases, vendors have emerged to fill the basic requirements.
