"Architecture of Reliable Web Applications Software"

The findings imply that organizations that wish to reach the higher levels of maturity must
begin to review and deploy enterprise metadata frameworks. Architects must ensure that
assets are cataloged, documented, and reused within the system development lifecycle. In
addition, developers must ensure that they utilize the services defined by the architecture

community within the domain model. The asset catalog or repository must be the first step
in application architecture, design, and development.
The repository must extend beyond traditional database assets and begin to integrate the
entire collection of assets within the organization. These assets must not only be documented
but related, based on a wide variety of relationships. Examples include call structures, model
relationships, and interfaces between systems and information stewards. By focusing on
the enterprise or shared assets, the volume of assets will be reduced to a manageable environment
which will enable not only integration but an efficient deployment process. The
repository is not only for the consumer of the metadata information but for the producer as
well.
