and different services.
WSGrid
WSGrid uses the idea of Node-to-Node computing and service-oriented architecture. It
consists of a set of Web services, built on top of Apache Tomcat and AXIS. It refers to machines
as nodes where computation happens. A node in WSGrid is denoted as a server which
has WSGrid installed and is a basic component in a WSGrid environment. An environment
can include many nodes, and a node can serve many users (clients). The communications

and cooperation between nodes are through service invocations. By the use of nodes and
users, dynamic virtual organizations can be formed by the dynamic relationship of nodes
and users.
Figure 2 shows how to finish a task with the cooperation of nodes by the use of service
invocations. A node is represented as a big rectangle. There are services (the small circles
inside a node) on nodes, and the arrow lines indicate the entry of services.
