Each ???dotted???
line indicates a service invocation and its direction. Every communication or cooperation
in Node-to-Node computing happens between two nodes, as with Peer-to-Peer computing
(P2P computing), because communication in P2P computing also takes place between two
peers. However, P2P computing usually serves specific types of file transfer and all the
participants have the same privileges, but N2N computing can be used to ???work??? transfer,
and individual authorization is also allowed.
???Work??? transfer represents that a user or a user proxy is allowed to move ???tasks??? from one
node to other nodes. This movement is usually to find the most suitable executive environment.
In order to execute a task, some proper resources might be needed. In order to execute
the task, the user might need to access logical or physical resources located on different
nodes. WSGrid is based on this distributed concept. To remain the maximum freedom and
customization for users, there is no central administrative component in WSGrid. The user
is free to maintain his/her resources. This is achieved by the idea of personal workspace.
Each user holds a personal workspace on each node. This individual workspace is only accessible
to a user (owner of space) able to prove his/her identity.
