Web.Service.QoS.Broker.
The QoS broker consists of the following components: Admission manager, User profile
manager, QoS negotiator, Selection manager, QoS monitor, QoS verifier/certifier, QoS information
manager, and a database. The components of the broker presented in Figure 3, which
are enclosed by a dashed line, concern both provider and client, while the verifier/certifier
component concerns only the provider of Web services.
???. QoS.Information.Manager: The QoS Information Manager is in charge of specifying
the QoS parameters of interests according to the user-required QoS, and collecting
actual values for these parameters from the Web services providers. QoS information
as well as information regarding QoS violations is maintained in the broker??™s database.
The other components of the broker get QoS information from the QoS Information
manager to achieve their objectives. These might be useful for services providers to
enhance their QoS-aware Web services.
???. Admission. Manager: The Admission Manager classifies incoming requests and
verifies the provisioned classes of QoS. The goal of the admission control algorithm
implemented by the admission manager is to determine whether the received requests
are allowed to use the services.
